Updated: Jun 27

How to decide if you want to rent or buy in Oahu

Before you decide to buy, it is wise to consider all of your options, including renting or living on base. Renting a home on Oahu is pretty easy, but pricey for what you get compared to most mainland housing options. Once you have determined what a home will rent for in the area you want to live in, then

you’ll want to compare prices of homes for sale in the same area, with the same condition and amenities. You can do a quick search on our website- CLICK HERE - to determine what is available for sale in your desired area.

You can run a quick rent vs buy calculation <here> to help you determine your specific situation.
