ILH Annual Backpack Drive | Supporting Keiki In Foster Care

We are absolutely thrilled and incredibly proud of the success of this year’s backpack drive! Our heartfelt thanks go out to the three Starbucks locations in Kailua for their generous support. By allowing our donation boxes to be placed in each of their coffee shops for a full four weeks, they played a crucial role in making this initiative a reality.

To everyone who took the time to contribute—whether by shopping for backpacks and supplies, making monetary donations, or supporting us in other ways—your efforts are deeply appreciated. Your generosity has made a significant impact on the lives of 75 children.

Family Programs Hawaii, the non-profit organization benefiting from this drive, is dedicated to supporting families and children in our community. They provide vital services such as maintaining safe living environments, offering therapy, assisting with foster care, and so much more. Thanks to your contributions, they are able to give 75 school aged children and teens backpacks filled with school supplies for this school year.

Our hearts are bursting with happiness - 75 backpacks is incredible!

These backpacks of blessings are filled with more than school supplies, they are filled with HOPE for a great school year!

If you’re still considering donating a backpack or any other school supplies, it's not too late! These items are consistently needed throughout the year, due to the continuous influx of new children and teens entering the foster care system. We encourage you to reach out to us if you’d like to contribute. We can easily arrange a pickup for your donations, or you can contact Family Programs Hawaii directly.

In addition to school supplies, there is also an ongoing need for everyday essentials such as clothing, toiletries, linens, etc. Your generosity can make a significant difference in the lives of these children, and we are grateful for any support you can offer.
